Couldn’t think of a title for this post, as it’s collaboration of different topics and pictures. This is a personal post and give it a minute to load, tons of pictures!

It’s been crappy weather for weeks now! Where did the sun and tropical nights go? :droop: Yesterday it was warm enough to go out and enjoy the sun yesterday at a cafe. :)

Enjoying an ice mocha with whip cream.

——————————–

The night before I was a bit bored and I took a shirt of my husbands and cut it up to fit me better.

Reppin South Korea & The US of A. The cap I’m wearing is the national one for S. Korea’s baseball team. I think they could have done a better job with the “K” though. And yes, it’s the same shirt that I wore in my first youtube video which I also did the same day. ;)

——————————–

I cook every meal for me and William. But this night he asked for hot dogs. Which made me happy because I wasn’t in the mood to whip some om nom nom food. ;)

——————————–

Celebrated my mother’s birthday on June 18th. :) Went there the night before, just so I can wake up early on the 18th and make sure my mom has a nice breakfast. I was planning to make waffles, but I really didn’t feel like measuring things and getting the mixture right. So I made Swedish/Norwegian style pancakes (like crepes), with an assortment of fresh raspberries, bananas, home made blueberry jam, and whip cream. :)

Mom & step-dad. I think they’re so cute sometimes.

After my mom and step-dad had their pancake feast with William and I. (We had no idea where my brother went so early in the morning lol). My mom and step-dad went to the new house to work on renovations. I think my mom is amazing to do that on her birthday! But it gave me and my brother (who missed breakfast but showed up with flowers for my mom) time to prepare the birthday feast!

My brother really wanted to make the birthday dinner. He made barbeque, and did the potato boats in the oven. As I was making two cakes, I also put together the bacon and cherry tomatoes. ;)

I made a warm salad with broccoli, garlic, and roasted chillies. I love this salad, I don’t make it too often but when I do, I make it with an oven baked basil, rosemary and oregano chicken with tomato sauce. :)

As me and my brother were slaving ourselves in the kitchen. William set up a million balloons.

He was also the champagne pourer (not a word but whatever!)

And voila! The two cakes I made:

This one turned out beautiful!

I know this one looks very ugly, but trust! It tastes so delicious! It’s supposed to be a roll cake, but the first time I tried making this, I couldn’t roll it nicely. So after I baked one big layer, I cut it into rectangles. It has bananas, whip cream, hazelnuts, and shredded chocolate.
om nom nom.

I’ve been told I can cook (most of the time). Though I should never be allowed in the kitchen when I’m in an angry state. ‘Cause I get accident prone and burn everything including my hands. So, I can cook most of the time, but I’m a horrible baker. The only baking that I can successfully make from scratch that looks good and tastes even better are brownies. But when it comes to cakes and pies. I don’t know.. :droop: A while ago, I spent hours making a cheese cake and it was HORRIBLE. It was so thick and the crust was disgusting! I also tried making a lemon meringue pie. I didn’t feel like making a proper crust, so I took a crust recipe from lemon bars. I thought the lemon meringue pie turned out disgusting and the crust was too hard. But oddly when my mom and step-dad came over to visit, they tried it and said it was so good. Hmm.. I don’t know! I guess I’m my own worst critic. Or is the saying harsh critic? *shrugs*

A couple more pictures from my moms birthday:

Representing the ROK! (Republic of Korea.. which is South Korea for you people who don’t know ;) ) Me and my family were joking that the neighbors probably thought “Oh.. I knew it.. It’s a Thai lady” or some asian country, since people here aren’t so familiar with Korea.

It’s a rose tree! Though flowers haven’t bloomed yet. They will!

And when they do, they should look like that! My mom loves her garden, especially her trees. She calls them her babies. Weirdo! Probably where I get my weirdness from.

Happy birthday to my beautiful mom! And congratulations to my mom and step-dad on their 6th year anniversary. Their anniversary is actually a day after my moms birthday. Sucks for my mom! Since anniversaries and celebrations like that usually means one present and not two.

And of course! I can’t end a post without some more camwhorin ;)
