Living up the last days of summer
16 Aug
The rain has finally gone away, the wind has calmed down, and the sun has been shining all week! I am really enjoying the weather. I think the nice weather is here to stay.. but just for a while. Until fall arrives. I hope it’s not too soon. Because I am certainly enjoying life outdoors!
Beach, macchiatos, tennis, the gym, ice cream, walking around the city, and more.
A little camwhoring at the beach.. What else is there to do when you’re laying out in the sun?

Don’t my eyes look really pretty? I’m wearing the Geo Tri Color Gray lenses I reviewed here.
We haven’t gone to the beach so often as we wish. I hope to play some beach volleyball the next time we do go! The weather better stay beach appropriate!!
The other day we visited a town nearby called Larvik. It’s a really small town, and it’s very hilly. I wonder how the old people live there, I would hate to walk up and down hills when I’m old and frail.

Enjoying a yummy up of macchiato. It was W’s first time to try a macchiato. He’s not really a coffee person. But I think he’s starting to like it.

We stopped by a shopping centre before heading home, and MMHMM I got tiramisu ice cream!
Moving on.. I think we have found a sport to play together. We hit the tennis courts yesterday, and spent over a hour playing tennis. I can’t remember exactly when the last time was when I played tennis, but I’m pretty sure I was probably 13 or 14. I don’t think I was so horrible at it. I do miss a few balls but as long as I run after it, the game continues. Sometimes W likes to show off his strength and just hits the ball so that it goes flying away.
We’re going to keep playing tennis, as long as the weather stays nice and sunny! It’s a nice work out. I run around, use my legs and arms, and I get a nice tan doing so.

And at the gym! No, I don’t usually wear make up to the gym. I think it’s gross to be sweating with make up on. Plus I find it a little dirty to my pores. Before my root canal, I wasn’t feeling so good, so I stopped going to the gym. And after my root canal, I was in unbelievable pain for days and days. Until I went back to the dentist and he gave me penicillin. It took a couple days for my tooth/jaw pain to go away. BTW, I still have to go back to the dentist to finish my root canal and crown. I’m not scared anymore of the dentist, but if I get after pain again, I will be very upset!
Now that I’m back at the gym, I’ve been running more instead of focusing more on weight training. For a couple weeks, before the root canal/tooth issue, I was doing a lot of weight training. But I wasn’t noticing a change in my body or weight. I know my body pretty well, and it responds to pilates the best. So I’ve been doing a little of pilates after a run. I used to have memorized a 30 minute pilates work out, but it’s been ages since I did that. So I’m doing what I can remember. I think I should sign up to a class. But there seems to be mostly yoga. I don’t like yoga!
Alright. I’m in need of some iced tea, and lunch. Also, going to finish a movie that we started last night, but W fell asleep. And I was too scared to watch it on my own. It’s called “The Cabin in the Woods”.
I think I’m going to do a beauty post later today. Or by tomorrow. So check back then.
