Love love love The Body Shop Body Butters – Coconut, Shea & Pink Grapefruit!
24 Jun
Hello Dolls!

This post has been a long time coming! Don’t know why I never got around to it.
I absolutely love The Body Shop body butters! It’s my daily body moisturizer. Occasionally I do switch it up with another brand, but if I have to stick to one lotion/body butter for rest of my life, it would be from The Body Shop. Some may find body butters greasy. I actually didn’t like it so much when I was younger. But I remember for a while I was battling dry skin, and after I used The Body Shop body butter for few days, my dry skin finally went away. *twirls* Ever since I have been using body butters.
And I don’t find it greasy.
I go through 2~3 tubs a month! I apply very generously. So I need to stock up on body butters.

Noix De Coco Coconut is my number one favorite! I love warm smells, especially coconut!

Karite/Shea is another favorite. Pamplemousse Rose/Pink Grapefruit isn’t a #1 favorite. But it’s nice to switch it up sometimes.

I think it was around May/beginning of June that The Body Shop changed the packaging.
I do like the new packaging! Except the coconut.. not very sexy?

The back and sides of the tub changed as well.

The Pamplemousse Rose/Pink Grapefruit is for normal skin.

The texture for normal, and dry skin body butters are different. The body butter for normal skin like Pink Grapefruit is much softer. And because it is, it’s actually easier to apply to the skin. Well, for me it is! I notice that it takes less “rubbing” into the skin.

The Noix De Coco/Coconut is for dry skin.

As you can see, compared to the Pink Grapefruit, the Coconut texture is much thicker. So when applying it takes a bit longer to rub into the skin. I wish the Coconut had the texture of the normal skin body butters. But eh whatever. It’s not a big deal.
I love coconut! What’s your favorite?

Karite/Shea is for very dry skin. I love the smell of shea as well. Warm smells like shea, coconut, vanilla all sooth me.

Karite/Shea’s texture is similar to Coconut.
I know some people also don’t like body butters because you have to put your fingers in it. And I sometimes share the feeling when I get lotion in my fingers nails. And I always have to wash my hands before I apply. But that doesn’t bother me because I’m one of those hygiene freak people that wash hands all the freakn time!
Although having to put your fingers directly into the tub, I think the long lasting smell and moisturize of the body butter is worth it!
