Gorgeous Dear Lee purple polish

20 Oct

I am loving this purple nail polish! It’s gorgeous. :D

Dear Lee #59

It was sent to me by BornPrettyStore.com for review purposes. It is labeled as a blue polish on their shop, but I find it closer to a purple. It does have different tone to it, and shines differently in the light. So there is a blue tint to it. I would call it a 3 tone purple? :) You can check out Dear Lee #59 polish on their shop.

Let’s check out the swatch!

I did coat my nails with Trina nail repair prior.

One coat of Dear Lee #59

Two coats of Dear Lee #59

Very pretty huh! I will continue to use this color through out this fall/winter! I like it a lot.

On the down side, drying time is very long!!! I only did two coats, so I didn’t think it would take so long to dry. The polish is a bit thick. It’s labeled as a cream sheer polish. It isn’t difficult to work with, so I have no issues there. Just that drying time could be much quicker. I ended up going to bed before it fully dried and when I woke up my nails had crazy prints on them haha. But the gorgeous color makes the drying time worth it. :hello:

BK Crystal Sand #14

15 Aug

from BornPrettyStore.com

Hello dolls.

I’ve got a gorgeous nail polish to share with you today. BornPrettyStore.com has sent me a couple more items to be reviewed for. I wanted to try a color from the BK Crystal Sand line they have on their shop, and this orange polish stuck out. I’m really really picky when it comes to nail polishes, 95% of the time I dislike all colors. But I thought this orange with silver shimmer was really pretty.

The stock images was much brighter and more orange then it really is. I’m guessing it’s because of lighting, editing and looks like they used a top coat. I tried to take pictures with the best swatches today. :)

BK Crystal Sand polishes does not contain toluene, formaldehyde, acetone type solvent, DBP and other carcinogenic substances.

*This swatch is the best match to the actual color of the polish*

These swatches are just with one layer of polish!

It’s described as an orange, but it really is more a brown-orange with silver shimmers. I really like shimmer polishes, but I’m really picky with the colors. I prefer more natural/light polishes, and I find this one really pretty. The shimmers are very small, and when the polish is dry, it’s smooth. :) What I love about this polish is that it dries fast! And amazingly I have not chipped it yet. The above swatches were taken yesterday. I painted one layer, then I didn’t have enough time to paint a second coat, as I had to go to the beach. So after the beach, washing & cleaning the car, and a work out at the gym, then a shower, the nail polish still didn’t chip at all! Not bad at all. I say this because I always chip my nails the day of!

Here are more swatches from today, I coated another layer. I decided not to use a top coat. Prior to the nail polish, I did paint my nails with a layer of Trind Nail Repair. Also, it didn’t chip at all today. :)

It does look more brown when I’m not in the sunlight.

Not important, but I’ll mention.. I asked my husband what color he thinks the polish is. He said “peach”.

I give this polish a 5 star rating! It dries fast, and does not chip easily. You don’t even need two coats, so if you’re in a hurry or just want try to a pretty shimmer polish, try a BK Crystal Sand polish. I believe there are 25 shades available.

Bornprettystore.com – DEARLEE/Candy Color Mood #008 Nail Polish Review

12 Jun

If you’re a beauty blogger, you most likely know Bornprettystore.com. If you don’t.. Bornprettystore.com is an online shop that has everything from nail polish, nail art, eye lashes, contact lenses, make up, double eye lid tapes, jewelry to iphone cases and more. Go check them out!

Bornprettystore.com has sponsored me, and I have received single eye lashes and a lovely pink nail polish. Though this is a sponsored review, I promise I am honest! :) Today I’m reviewing the nail polish I was sent. DEARLEE in #008. On their website it’s titled: Candy Color Mood Nail Polish Nail Art 008. They have a very big range of nail polishes, from regular, to shimmer, cracking, magnetic, shimmer, french and even more. I chose this creamy pink color because it’s gorgeous, and I’m in a pink mood these days.

It’s a creamy opaque pink. I had to get in 4 layers. What’s great about this polish is that it’s not thick/goopy like some other creamy/pastel colors. It’s a bit forgiving, you can get in several layers. Personally I like thinner polishes to work with, it’s easier.

One layer painted. Please excuse the horrid state my nails are in. :sheepish: And remember I have gel nails with pink tips. I’ve been neglecting to go get them removed. I will soon though!

Two layers applied.

Three layers! Almost there.. :)

Four layers! I thought 4 layers was going to be a pain, but it was easy to apply. However, the drying process took a long time. A long long time! And I’m having one of those days where although I try to stay still I keep touching my wet nails with stuff. :( Keep in mind: This picture was taken under direct sunlight. And my nails weren’t fully dry yet.

Under sunlight.

Under regular/artificial light. It’s really pretty!

For best true color, look at the color above the white line. As I have pink gel tips under.

Under certain lights, it looks much lighter.

Or darker?

Flash!

Conclusion: I do like the color. I’m going to test it out again on my natural nails and post pictures! On their website, the color looked much much lighter. But I guess that’s from lighting. I think I’ll use this also when I do my own french nails. Use this as a base – 1 or 2 coats. We’ll see! :) I do have mixed feelings about the sheerness of it, because it is sheer, I need to get 4 coats to get it to pop. The pricing for it $4.39. I would pay more for it. But not as much as OPI or Essie.. lol.

Oh and about the shipping. I received my products in a week! I think that’s pretty good! Also what I like about their shop is that they have worldwide free shipping.

If you plan to shop anything from Bornprettystore. Use this coupon to get 7% off! :)

I will do a review on the eye lashes when I come back from a little trip. I’m leaving tomorrow morning for Oslo and then getting on a cruise ship. :) Or they say it’s a cruise ship, but there’s no swimming pool on deck, which I wouldn’t call it a cruise ship then! I’ll be back in a few days! :) I’ll try to blog while I’m there though! And I’ll keep you updated on twitter.

Essie in Muchi Muchi

5 Jun

Love or hate? I love it. It’s a gorgeous creamy baby pink. I actually purchased it after I did my nails in OPI DS Bold yesterday. I couldn’t wait to get the color off haha, and I wanted a baby pink color. So I went to H&M to pick up nail polishes. I think I purchased it for 125 NOK, which is about USD $20. Is it worth the $20? I guess so. But it has room for improvement. If I didn’t have gel nails, then the drying process would have took so much longer. And I am a very impatient woman!! Sometimes I’ll paint my nails, and ’cause I can’t wait, I’ll just take them off again.

I did 3 coats, and I suggest to wait for each coat to dry a bit. Or who knows how long it’ll take to dry. I also painted my toe nails, but I only did 2 coats. And it’s a bit streaky. But if you have time on your hands, or if you have gel/acrylic nails then give Muchi Muchi a shot. I need to pick up a quick drying spray! I left mine back in Korea, actually I left all of my nail polishes in Korea. Actually I pretty much left everything I own in Korea. I only brought 2 and a half suitcases of stuff. But no worries, I have plenty of time to shop away. It’s a nice feeling though, it feels like I’m restarting life. It’s refreshing.

Do you have any favorites from Essie?
